Ms. K. Tharsika

Krishnasamy Tharsika is a dedicated academic and researcher in the field of accounting, with a strong commitment to both education and professional development. She holds an MBA in Accounting and Information Management from the University of Colombo (2022) and a BBA Honours in Accounting from the University of Jaffna (2017). Her primary research interests encompass financial reporting, artificial intelligence in accounting, corporate governance, gender equity, and sustainable tourism. She is actively engaged in exploring the intersection of accounting practices and socio-economic issues, with a focus on corporate performance and economic resilience. Tharsika's teaching spans both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, where she imparts knowledge on financial reporting, business ethics, data analytics, and taxation. She has made significant contributions as a resource person at seminars and workshops. As a mentor, she also plays a vital role in guiding students and advancing curriculum development.
