A session on IFRS S1 & S2 – Sustainability and Climate Reporting was conducted via Zoom on March 18 for both the staff and students of the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. The session, aimed at enhancing understanding of sustainability and climate-related disclosures under the IFRS framework, was expertly delivered by Sampath Jayawardena, Senior Director at EY. His extensive expertise provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of sustainability reporting, equipping participants with the knowledge to navigate and apply these critical standards in their professional and academic pursuits.
